Despite its historic status, the building was neglected, painted over and subdivided over the years.
Determined to preserve the history of the building and restore it to its original grandeur, the investment group who purchased the building followed the most demanding standards for historic preservation. Using a meticulous and all-encompassing approach for both the interior and exterior, the restoration sought to continue a tradition of collaboration between skilled craftsmen and dedicated artisans.
After a three-year $24-million-dollar preservation, every single square inch of every surface both inside and out was restored, awarding the renovations the most prestigious preservation awards in the country.
